چکیده

This paper deals with infinite time horizon fuzzy Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) models for deteriorating items with stock dependent demand rate and nonlinear holding costs by taking deterioration rate 0 θ as a triangular fuzzy number ( ) , , 2 0 0 1 0 δ θ θ δ θ + − , where 0 2 1 , 0 θ δ δ < < are fixed real numbers. The traditional parameters such as unit cost and ordering cost have been kept constant but holding cost is considered to vary. Two possibilities of variations in the holding cost function namely, a non-linear function of the length of time for which the item is held in stock and a non-linear function of the amount of on-hand inventory have been used in the models. The approximate optimal solution for the fuzzy cost functions in both these cases have been obtained and the effect of non-linearity in holding costs is studied with the help of a numerical example. Keywords—Inventory Model, Deterioration, Holding Cost, Fuzzy Total Cost, Extension Principle.

A multi-objective inventory model for deteriorating items with backorder and stock dependent demand

Classical deterministic inventory models consider the demand rate to be either constant or time-dependent but independent from the stock status. However, for a certain type of inventory, the demand rate may be in-fluenced by the stock level. Also in many real-life problems, some products such as fruits, vegetables, phar-maceuticals and volatile liquids continuously deteriorate to evaporation, o...

Fuzzy Eoq Model for Deteriorating Items with Exponential Membership Function

Abstract In this Paper a multi item EOQ model with stock dependent demand for deteriorating items is considered in fuzzy environment. Inventory costs such as holding cost and setup cost have been represented by exponential membership function and profit, deteriorating rate and total investment constraint are represented by linear membership functions. The model has been solved by fuzzy non-line...

An Inventory Model for Deteriorating Items Using Vendor-Managed Inventory Policy

In recent researches, vendor managed inventory (VMI) policy is rarely considered for deteriorating items.   This study considered the supply chain partner’s collaboration via a VMI system and provided an EOQ model for a two-level supply chain (single supplier - single retailer) to examine the inventory management proceedings for VMI and non-VMI supply chains. By a new approach in modeling, the ...

A new study of an EOQ model for deteriorating items with shortages under inflation and time discounting

We discuss the effects of inflation and time discounting on an EOQ model for deteriorating items under stock-dependent demand and time-dependent partial backlogging. The inventory model is studied under the replenishment policy starting with no shortages. We then use MATLAB to find the optimal replenishment policies. The objective of this model is to maximize the total profit (TP) which inclu...

An optimal policy for deteriorating items with time-proportional deterioration rate and constant and time-dependent linear demand rate

In this paper, an economic order quantity (EOQ) inventory model for a deteriorating item is developed with the following characteristics: (i) The demand rate is deterministic and two-staged, i.e., it is constant in first part of the cycle and linear function of time in the second part. (ii) Deterioration rate is time-proportional. (iii) Shortages are not allowed to occur. The o...
